Hola!

Today the Preps had their first Spanish lesson with Rachel. We counted to ten, named some colours and read the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, (La Oruga Muy Hambrienta). “Aún tengo hambre!” is what the caterpillar says when he is still hungry.

In Maths, we made houses that showed how many people live there. A blue square was for a Mum, a yellow square for Dad, red squares were for brothers and green squares were for sisters. A purple square was for the person that lived in the house and orange squares were for our pets.

A classmate brought in a very big abalone shell. Some of us wrote and drew about it in our Writer’s Notebook.

We also got to see Mrs Bruce’s baby red back spiders. Thank goodness they were in a jar!
